KEFALONIA

SAMI
Sami is a region of unique natural beauty. It has many caves, a pole of attraction for nature lovers and researchers. Sami, the head of the homonym municipality, is located in the east part of the island, 22km from Argostoli. It is one of the biggest shopping centers and an important tourist resort with the appropriate infrastructures. The port of Sami is considered one of the most important in Kefalonia, as it connects the island with Patra and Italy.
The region has some of the most beautiful beaches, satisfying all demands, as it gives you the opportunity to decide among sandy and with pebbles, beaches. In the organized beach of Sami you can enjoy the sun, the clear sea and those of you wanting to exercise, there are all the appropriate infrastructures for water sports.

PESADA
Small coastal village belonging to the Municipality of Livathous, which extends in the southwest part of the island. It has a small graphic port and a beautiful beach, ideal for those seeking for some privacy.
Due to the fertile valleys in the region, oil and vine cultivation are developed in this area. During the last years residents have started to work with tourism. Infrastructures get better and better and Pesada becomes more popular.

LEYKADA

VASILIKI
It is one of the most cosmopolitan tourist resorts in Lefkada. Located at the south part of the island, in a verdurous location, it is only 38km from the capital. Dense vegetation and an extended beach with crystal clear waters, make Vassiliki a pole of attraction to visitors.
It has one of the most beautiful beaches in Lefkada, with international fame. An extended beach that reaches up to Pontis’ gulf, is ideal for windsurfing. The wind coming from up high to the valley creates the ideal conditions for it.
The small port of Vassiliki connects Ithaca to Kefalonia in daily bases. Small boats that take visitors to Porto Katsiki beach, anchor here.
Vassiliki distinguishes for her tourist infrastructures. You will find many hotels, rooms to let, taverns and bars. It combines a quiet vacation enjoying nature, with the opportunity to entertain. Excavations at Evgiros Chirospilia, brought into light findings of the Paleolithic and Neolithic Age. According to the archaeological department, ancient structural remains are found in Vassilkis’ valley. But systematic excavations have not started yet.

AITOLOKARNANIA

ASTAKOS
The small port town of Astakos is the link between the mainland region of Aetoloacarnania and the Ionian Islands. Astakos is a town of neoclassical grandeur and great vitality, worth a visit for its historical monuments, but also for its beautiful beaches. It offers good food in restaurants and taverns...

ITHAKI

PISAETOS

VATHI
Vathi is the island’s capital from the 16th century and the main port. The settlement is built inside a protected cove, surrounded by green mountains.
The first picture you see as the ship approaches the port, are the traditional houses and the small island of Lazareto with dense vegetation. On the hill over Vathi is a castle built in 1807 by French. The view from up there is breathtaking as you can see up to Lefkada.
In Vathi, near the port’s gulf is the cave of Nymphs. It has multi-coloured stalactites that decorate its interior. According to local tradition, it is the cave where Odysseus hid his presents from Faiakes, when he returned to the island.
Vathi is the epic port of Forkynos. It is a natural port, where according to tradition, Faiakes left Odysseus sleeping.
Worth visiting are the archaeological, folkloric – naval museums and the Metropolis.
Big part of the town was ruined by the 1953 earthquake, but was rebuilt keeping its traditional architecture. If you visit Vathi you will see the residence of Odysseus Androutsos.
Vathi has many hotels and rooms to let providing a comfortable accommodation to all visitors. Here you will find restaurants, taverns and coffeehouses. Bars and clubs are waiting to entertain you.
As for your swim prefer the beaches of Loutsa, Sarakiniko, Tsiribi and Filiatro. Don’t miss taking the boat to Gidaki beach, one of the most idyllic in Ithaki.

ZAKYNTHOS

AGIOS NIKOLAOS VOLIMES
The small port of Agios Nikolaos is located close to Volimies. The region has no tourist development and keeps its natural beauties and the architecture of the small settlement.
From the graphic port of Agios Nikolaos you can take a boat and visit Galazies Spilies and the beach of Navagio (shipwreck).
The beach with pebbles and crystal clear waters is ideal for swimming and relax. If you avoid crowded beaches you will love it.
There are a lot of taverns around the port, where you can eat and enjoy the magnificent view.
In the region of Agios Nikolaos you will find a few rooms to let providing a quiet staying.
